Is the Creating Momentum program for your school?

In this short video, Dr Jane Genovese talks about why she developed the Creating Momentum program.

What's this program about?

Creating Momentum is a teacher-led program that provides a new approach to working and studying. This healthier approach will help your students learn more effectively and leave them feeling more confident, capable, and in control.

It offers students simple strategies and methods for learning to work effectively without the stress and drama of last-minute cramming.

When you sign up to the program, what's included?

  • Downloadable workbook for students
  • Access to the program resources until the end of the year (10 sessions in total)
  • Access to 40 videos
  • Session scripts, PDF worksheets, and handouts to facilitate sessions with classes
  • Copies of the reference book Ace Tests, Exams, and Big Life Projects (3 copies for your school library)
  • Student access to the videos (If students miss a session, they can catch up at home)
  • Certificates for teacher PD records
  • Bonus tips and articles emailed throughout the year
  • Interactive live webinars with Dr Jane for parents and teachers to attend

How does the teacher-led program work?

Teachers are provided with scripts that tell them how to introduce videos and facilitate breakout activities and class discussions. A student workbook, handouts and activity sheets are also provided.

Minimal prep work is required by teachers.

Teachers can also earn a PD certificate after engaging with each session.

Why is this program needed?

Students learn how to work and study by watching the people around them. They develop ideas about how to work from their parents, peers, and the culture in which they live.

But the way most students are working isn't working. Chronic sleep deprivation and 'procrastinogenic' environments that lead to rapid task switching are seriously impairing students' ability to learn.

A better approach is needed.

Creating Momentum provides a healthier approach that promises positive outcomes, leaving students feeling in control of their studies and lives.

What content is covered in the program?

This program teaches students how to:

  • Deal with feelings of overwhelm and discomfort
  • Hack their motivation to get started with their work (regardless of how they feel)
  • Create habits to help them sit down and study and enhance their study sessions
  • Learn more in less time
  • Redesign their environment to supercharge their focus
  • Reclaim their attention from Big Tech companies
  • And much more!

"The way in which Jane guides you through the program to face overwhelming tasks or even situations, together with the actionable advice on creating new habits or achieve behavioural change and the weekly challenges to help nail down the core takeaways, helped me complete my MSc thesis when I was struggling even with writing a sentence."

- Participant, Creating Momentum

"I love to learn new things, and I always get excited about new projects I want to work on. Still, I lacked structure, and I seldom was able to finish things I started, that made me very unsatisfied. During these 10 weeks with Jane I have learnt about what was blocking me, and about many strategies I can put in place to get things done that are important to me. Jane course was very well structured, and her enthusiasm is contagious."
